Abstract

• The dual impacts of external shocks on system degradation and mission execution rate are jointly modeled. • A two-level preventive maintenance strategy with probabilistic and deterministic restoration effects is proposed. • The optimal maintenance policy is obtained by employing the value iteration algorithm.
