• High presence of mycotoxins was observed in samples irrespective of the study groups. • Zearalenone, aflatoxin M1, ochratoxin A & citrinin were most prevalent toxins found. • Overall, 75.6% of 586 biological samples contained at least one mycotoxin. • More than one mycotoxin was detected in 68.6% of all biological samples. • Urinary biomarkers revealed high zearalenone, aflatoxin M1, ochratoxin A in infants.
