Abstract

• An optimization method for dock gate structures considering variations in stiffener spacing and quantity is proposed. • Core design parameters in dock gate structural optimization are identified using sensitivity analysis. • An optimization framework integrating sensitivity analysis and RBF surrogate modeling is developed. • A multi-objective optimization targeting both weight and center of gravity height is conducted.
