• A multi-task foundation model improves crack segmentation across 20 datasets. • Joint mask, skeleton, and uncertainty maps support reliable crack assessment. • Mask-derived skeleton targets preserve crack topology without extra labeling. • High-frequency cues and adapted features improve cross-domain transfer. • Five labeled images enable effective adaptation to new crack inspection domains.
