We report on the prototype and design of a new multimodal acousto-optic deflector based multiphoton/structured light microscope. The prototype features two orthogonally arranged acousto-optic deflectors (AODs) integrated into a Mach-Zehnder interferometer, enabling fast, flexible light pattern generation. Two operational modalities are supported: camera-based detection and single-pixel acquisition using an avalanche photodiode (APD) with frequency-encoded illumination. We describe the optical design, alignment procedure, and performance of both modalities, supported by experimental data from structured illumination and frequency-domain image reconstruction
