Abstract

• Anesthetic practices for postpartum tubal ligation at a single institution were evaluated. • 19% of neuraxial anesthetics failed, most commonly resulting in sedation administration. • No difference in failure rates between reactivated labor catheters versus de novo spinal anesthetics were identified.
