Abstract

Abstract

• 96.5% BPA removal was achieved within 30 min at neutral pH (7). • The catalyst exhibited a high specific surface area of 261.68 m2 g−1. • The catalyst showed good reusability over 4 consecutive cycles. • DFT identified hydroxyl and aromatic groups as key BPA reactive sites. • Singlet oxygen (1O2) contributed significantly to BPA degradation.
