Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• A non-toxic water-in-oil microemulsion was developed for polishing potassium dihydrogen phosphate. • Chemically mild formulations compatible with hygroscopic KDP enabled safe handling. • Surface defects were eliminated and optical-quality roughness below ∼3 nm RMS was achieved. • Stable and tunable material removal rates relevant to precision optics fabrication were obtained. • Mechanistic insight into droplet-assisted material removal under ambient humidity was provided.
