Abstract
En 中文
• Transparent Y2Sn2O7 and La2Sn2O7 ceramics are fabricated for the first time via oxygen‑atmosphere‑controlled sintering. • DFT calculations reveal the direct bandgap nature and covalent Sn–O vs. ionic Ln–O bonding characteristics. • Y2Sn2O7 exhibits a higher oxygen vacancy content, causing relatively large grain size compared with La2Sn2O7. • Both ceramics show high transmittances of ‒69.3‒70.3% at 633 nm, high refractive indices of 2.0 , and large Abbe numbers of 28.0‒28.8. • The A‑site cation governs oxygen non‑stoichiometry, which affects microstructure, fracture mode, and optical properties.
