Abstract

En 中文
The application of I2 in nuclear energy utilization poses environmental risks, making its efficient capture crucial for nuclear waste treatment and environmental protection. Existing adsorbent materials still suffer from low adsorption capacity. This work aims to regulate the electron-rich properties of porous polymers for efficient iodine capture from cyclohexane. It could be achieved by tuning the N and O content via a one-step synthesis. Physical and chemical structural analysis indicates that N/O-rich porous organic polymers is a mesoporous material with a specific surface area of 369.60 m2/g, featuring uniformly distributed N- and O-containing functional groups on its surface. Its maximum adsorption capacity for I2 can reach 916.30 mg/g. Its intricate pore structure provides pathways for efficient I2 diffusion, while surface N/O functional groups readily form charge transfer with I2 to promote strong immobilization. This preparation strategy offers a novel molecular design approach for high-performance adsorbents, providing a new pathway for the efficient removal of iodine molecules.
