Abstract

• DHPSO is developed for 15-min discrete scheduling of PV-storage irrigation pump trucks. • Linear inertia decay, symmetric velocity bounds, and triggered Gaussian mutation improve search adaptability. • DHPSO provides competitive convergence and scheduling performance against selected benchmark algorithms. • Field-based evaluations indicate improved energy utilization and modest irrigation gains under constrained conditions.
