This study developed a coupled physicochemical model to simulate the migration behavior of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) in soil during electrokinetic (EK) remediation. The model integrated solute advection–diffusion, electromigration–electroosmosis, and pH-dependent nonlinear Langmuir adsorption processes. It successfully reproduced the spatial distribution of PFOA in soil during EK remediation (R2 = 0.841), capturing key transport characteristics. Electromigration was identified as the dominant transport mechanism, leading to PFOA accumulation in the central soil region and near the anode. Sensitivity analysis demonstrated that remediation duration and soil adsorption characteristics predominantly governed PFOA migration, whereas electric field strength mainly influenced spatial redistribution with limited improvement in overall removal efficiency. These findings provide a quantitative framework and mechanistic insight for optimizing field-scale EK remediation of PFOA-contaminated soils.
