• Five pyrite generations identified, tracing evolution from syn-sedimentary to ore-stage hydrothermal processes in Pangjiahe and Matigou orogenic gold deposits. • Sulfur isotopes of ore-stage pyrite (+8‰ to + 13‰) indicate a crustal fluid source derived from metamorphosed Devonian SEDEX-enriched strata. • Pre-existing basin-hosted SEDEX mineralization serves as a key metal source, with gold precipitation driven by fault-valve mechanisms during Triassic tectonic transition.
