• Organic semiconductor nanoparticle films are patterned by solution-stamping and subsequent lift-off of nanoparticles. • Aligned non-toxic solution-stamping was used to pattern different function layers of nanoparticle-based organic thin film transistors. • Patterned semiconductor nanoparticle materials with sub-micrometer sized feature are produced by solution-stamping and subsequent lift-off.
