Abstract
En 中文
This article focuses on the present gap in academic design literature of surface pattern design. Presented in the form of a literature review, the article explores the premise that there is insufficient research into the methods of practice performed by surface pattern designers. Through this article, I argue the need for increased critical analysis of the practice of surface pattern design to provide transparency around the complexities of working in this field. Enhanced understanding of these practices will contribute new knowledge to the creative discourse which may elevate the perception and perceived value of this unique field of practice.
