Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
Performance, cost and durability aspects of catalysts for proton exchange membrane fuel cells are discussed in the context of the US Department of Energy performance targets for automotive applications. State of the art catalysts are close to meeting the targets for these three important parameters. More work is required to further increase performance, reduce platinum loadings, and minimize the potentials the cathode catalyst can reach during adverse conditions such as those that will occur during fuel cell startup and shutdown.
