Abstract

• A numerical model simulating droplet spreading on supercooled wall is established. • The maximum solidification resistance is not equal 0 but shifts to the droplet center area at the maximum spreading moment. • Solidification resistance dissipation amplifys droplet maximum spreading length and prolongs spreading durations. • The proposed solidification resistance dissipation computation method exhibits good performance on tracking droplet supercooled spreading.
