Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
Nanotechnology is rapidly advancing across various industries, highlighting the need for environmentally friendly nanoparticle (NP) synthesis methods. In this study, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were synthesized using Pyracantha angustifolia (PA), also known as firethorn, a plant with applications in food and pharmaceuticals. The AgNPs were characterized via UV-VIS, FT-IR, FE-SEM, FESEM-EDX, and their antibacterial activity was tested against Erwinia caratovora and Clavibacter michiganensis. Phytochemical analysis of PA aqueous extract identified hesperidin (1240.3564 ng/ml) and palmitic acid methyl ester (30.79%) as major components using LC-ESI-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS, respectively. AgNPs of PA showed high antibacterial activity against the pathogens E. caratovora and C. michiganensis. In silico studies confirmed hespiridin's interaction with DNA gyrase (MolDock score;-123.43, binding energies;-7.00 kcal/mol and Delta G binding values; 15.051 kj/mol), supporting its potential as an antibacterial agent.
