This letter investigates the polarization transforming reconfigurable intelligent surface (PTRIS)-aided multi-user multiple-input single-output (MISO) communication system, where the PTRIS can manipulate not only the phase shifts but also the polarization. We aim to maximize the sum rate of all users via jointly optimizing beamforming of base station, phase shifts of PTRIS, and polarforming of PTRIS, respectively. However, the formulated problem is intractable due to the non-convexity arising from the coupled variables. Thus, we propose an efficient alternating optimization (AO) algorithm that decomposes the original problem into two sub-problems and solves them iteratively. Specifically, the beamforming is optimized via weighted minimum mean square error (WMMSE), while the phase shifts and polarforming are optimized via Riemannian conjugate gradient (RCG). Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the sum rate compared to the benchmark schemes.
