Potential step technique of intercalation process study is used for lithium intercalation in ferritic-carbon alloys, hydrogen insertion in titanium and anodic oxidation of nickel oxide and nickel powders. As a result it was found, that there are a lot of general regularities of intercalation processes, which can express in terms of piecewise EMF function and staging of kinetic steps of intercalation processes.
