In settings with high uptake of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), an increasing proportion of individuals newly diagnosed with HIV report prior PrEP exposure. Understanding patterns of PrEP use, discontinuation and adherence in such settings is essential to inform future HIV prevention strategies.
