Abstract
En 中文
• spatially and temporally resolved imaging and OMICS techniques describe host-symbiont integration • metabolic modelling based on integrated OMICS data allows for establishing detailed hypotheses on host-symbiont interactions • experimental and genetic manipulation is becoming increasingly available for non-model insects and unculturable microorganisms • pharmacological inhibition can modulate individual enzymatic reactions • labelling approaches allow to follow the fate of specific metabolites • in combination these approaches allow to decipher mechanisms of physiological integration
