• Corrosion behavior of equiatomic TiNbCr MPEA in simulated body fluid is investigated. • As-cast TiNbCr forms a more permeable passive film with higher corrosion currents. • HIP processing promotes microstructural densification and homogenization. • HIPed TiNbCr exhibits corrosion resistance comparable to Ti-6Al-4V.
