• A THPS-derived multi-arm silane modifier was designed for BN functionalization. • THIP improved BN dispersion and interfacial compatibility in natural rubber. • THIP enhanced the thermal conductivity and mechanical properties of NR composites. • MD simulations revealed stronger interfacial interactions between BN and NR.
