PV Plant Load Scheduling Using Battery Storage

Abstract

The issues related to the energy and economic efficiency of photoelectric systems with installed batteries are becoming more and more important. From their timely resolution depends, to a large extent, their widespread use in practice and what today is especially relevant - the construction of smart electricity distribution networks. The study focuses on the possibility of accumulating and saving the electricity produced by photovoltaic power plants. On the one hand, the economic interest of electricity distribution companies to build photovoltaic plants with batteries is considered, and on the other, the economic interest of PV owners, who additionally invest in installing batteries with optimal sized techno economic parameters. The use of properly sized electricity storage devices is a promising solution that is both engineering and economically feasible, especially if it is linked to the possibility of using the elements that are needed to build smart grids. The articles applies data from a functioning 137.5 kWp power plant, which is located on the roof of an industrial hall.
