The random sample consensus algorithm has been successfully employed for the estimation of parameters in polynomial phase signals. It significantly reduces the signal-to-noise ratio threshold by 3 dB compared to current state-of-the-art algorithms. In this paper, we have developed a random sample consensus algorithm -based estimator for hyperbolic frequency modulated signals parameters. Our proposed parameter and instantaneous frequency estimator demonstrate exceptional accuracy, surpassing existing estimators by achieving the signalto-noise ratio threshold improvement of up to 7 dB. Furthermore, we have examined the limits of applicability of our proposed approach, particularly in terms of computational complexity.
