Evinacumab is a monoclonal antibody targeting angiopoietin-like protein 3 (ANGPTL3) that reduces low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels by ~50% when used with standard lipid-lowering therapies in homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH) patients. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved in February 2021, it is administered via monthly intravenous infusions.
