• Novel EN separator enables Grotthuss-like Li⁺ transport with ultralow 0.07 eV barrier, achieving ~1 mS cm⁻¹ conductivity. • Li anode stability extends to 2000 h at 5 mA cm⁻² with LiF-rich SEI formation enabled by EN separator. • Li||LiFePO₄ delivers 92 mAh g⁻¹ at 10 C with 73.9% retention, doubling commercial separator performance.
