• Cubic ACTO photocatalyst with spatially separated redox sites was constructed. • RGO was in situ grown on ACTO to accelerate charge transfer • Photocatalytic OWS activities of R/ACTO-2 reached 18.7 and 8.7 mmol·g−1·h−1. • AQY reached 32.6% at 257 nm with an STH efficiency of 0.22%. • Facet engineering and RGO modification enhance ACTO OWS performance.
