This paper presents a reliability-based robust decentralized algorithm to improve the responses of the structure that are equipped with Active tuned mass dampers. Due to the inherent challenges such as the economic and technical difficulties of sensor communication in centralized controllers, the decentralized control strategy is utilized. In this strategy, the building is divided into a smaller substructure. These substructures are related to each other according to the chosen approach. For this purpose, fully decentralized and partially decentralized controllers are used. In the fully decentralized method, the subsystems are completely separate. In the second method, these subsystems overlap with each other. In addition, the H-infinity static output feedback controller is used. In this system, Linear matrix inequality is considered to achieve the developed formulation. Therefore, several modifications are considered to transform the problem into a linear problem. Moreover, the uncertainties of the system are considered based on several uncertainties including material-specific properties and loads. This demonstrates the importance of utilizing a reliability-based strategy. The HL-RF method is considered to determine the reliability index of the selected building. In other words, the presented algorithm is based on iterative steps that improve the responses of the structure. Simulation results show the efficiency and superiority of the proposed algorithm.
