Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
We endorse Wilson and Sober's conclusion that whether groups are replicators is irrelevant to whether they are vehicles of selection. However, we would urge them to reject the replicator/vehicle distinction which requires an implicit nature/nurture dichotomy. The alternative 'developmental systems' perspective is better able to describe the role of culture in the evolution of group-level adaptations.
