• A novel combined CBC-Stirling engine combined power generation system is proposed. • Stirling engine enhances the output capacity with a power-to-weight ratio of 22.87 W/kg. • The cooling capacity replenishment ratio can reach 103.36%. • The exergy efficiency of this novel system reaches 39.54%.
