Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• Pyrobitumen in overmature rocks fails to combust in Rock-Eval 6's standard oxidation, may be misidentified as mineral carbon. • An extended-temperature programmed pyrolysis to 850 °C targeting highly mature samples recovers critical S2 data. • This extended-temperature pyrolysis can generate reliable Tmax and corrects underestimated TOC in overmature rocks.
