This response letter aims to provide a systematic clarification and response to the recent comment on our published paper. We fully agree with the classical theory of radiation thermometry, namely that, in the absence of prior emissivity information, calibration data, or additional constraints, the multi-wavelength thermometry problem is intrinsically underdetermined, and the true temperature and the true spectral emissivity cannot be uniquely and simultaneously recovered from limited-channel radiation signals alone. It should be clarified that the method proposed in our paper is not a temperature–emissivity joint inversion method under prior-free conditions, nor does it reconstruct the true spectral emissivity curve in the independent testing stage. Instead, its essence is a correction and compensation method for colorimetric thermometry formulas based on pre-test calibration. In the independent testing stage, the model parameters and correction functions remain fixed, and the true temperature Ttru of the test sample is used only for error evaluation after prediction and does not participate in model inference. The independent testing results show that the colorimetric thermometry correction function established and fixed before testing exhibits lower prediction errors on the present experimental dataset.
