Abstract

• We combined risky versions of dictator game and personality measures to examine giving behaviors under risk. • Risk in behavioral outcomes changed giving patterns based on who faced the risk. • Honesty-Humility and Guilt proneness had consistent influences on behavior regardless of outcome uncertainty. • There was a trend suggesting that Risk tolerance’s association with giving behaviors strengthened under risky conditions.
