In immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), platelet-intrinsic alterations and their potential contribution to disease pathogenesis remain incompletely understood. Since platelets, although anucleate, retain a functional transcriptome, transcriptomic profiling may provide insight into disease-associated changes.
