Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
This paper deals with the calculation of a sparse network equivalent (SNE) for the analysis of electromagnetic transients in large systems. The methodology and the mathematical details are presented in the companion paper [1]. This sequel presents application examples to demonstrate the accuracy and computational efficiency of the SNE. Equivalents for networks composed of 12, 50, and 100 transmission lines are derived and the results are discussed.
