• This work shows up band topology and strong absorption of THz photons in Weyl Semimetal WTe2, and self-powered THz photoresponse can be established due to the symmetry breaking at its surface. • Benefiting from its strong anisotropy, the antenna integrated WTe2 detector display strong polarization ratio exceeds 100. • High responsivity across broadband spectrum regime from 0.02 ∼ 0.72 THz can be obtained.
