• Teleworking lifestyle types identified from a representative Swiss employee sample. • Three types emerged: sceptical-individualistic, pragmatic, and eco-innovative. • Types differ in commuting carbon footprints and in subjective well-being. • Results offer a basis for targeted low-carbon and well-being-oriented interventions.
