• The formulation of the task scheduling problem with performance and security constraints in hybrid clouds. • SeSiC, a security-aware heuristic task scheduling method for improving the cooperation between the local cloud and the public cloud. • SeSiC has superior performance in satisfying task requirements, compared with six of classical methods and state-of-the-art methods.
