Abstract
En 中文
• A first dataset of sedimentary MPs in the three main Vietnamese riverine systems was established. • Microplastic abundances reached up to 32,151 items.kg−1 and 254 mg.kg−1 in the Saigon River. • Urban and industrial areas are MP hotspots, while estuaries are key traps. • Small size MPs (< 200 μm) were predominant; PE, PP, PET, and PVC were the major polymers. • Ecological risks were scored at moderate to dangerous levels, according to PHI and PERI.
