• Novel Ni35Fe20Co15Cr15Al15-xMox (x = 0, 1 and 3) dual-phase high-entropy alloys (DPHEAs) with FCC/B2 phases were fabricated by direct casting. • Appropriate Mo addition induces pronounced lattice distortion and effectively refines the FCC grain. • Disordered BCC particles in the B2 phase and ordered L12 precipitates in the FCC phase are frequently observed. • The as-cast Ni35Fe20Co15Cr15Al14Mo1 DPHEA achieves nearly twice the ductility of as-cast Ni35Fe20Co15Cr15Al15 DPHEA without sacrificing strength.
