Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• Slow-sound regimes govern broadband dissipation in rainbow-trapping silencers (RTS). • A theoretical framework links cavity compressibility to regime transitions with flow. • Low-Mach laws predict phase speed at quarter-wave and zero-compliance frequencies. • Flow-induced slow-sound compression is validated numerically and experimentally. • RTS performance remains robust under flow for upstream and downstream propagation.
