Based on the model of improved PNGV equivalent circuit, the method of SOC estimation combining kalman filtering and Ah integration algorithm was brought forward. Considering the temperature, self-discharge effect on the parameters of the model, the simulation model was set up based on Matlab/Simulink. Comparing the SOC results of combining kalman filtering and Ah integration algorithm and only the latter method, simulation and test results show that improved PNGV model can simulate the battery characterizations as well. And the estimation of SOC can be kept precise in the allowed error range.
