Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
The present paper is devoted to solve the backward heat conduction problem from the final temperature distribution. The problem is transformed into an optimization problem and then a variational method is given. A conjugate gradient method together with an appropriate stopping rule are used to solve this inverse problem. Several numerical examples are provided to show the high efficiency of the suggested method. (C) 2012 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
