Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• Two new D-π-A type salt-based chemodosimeters were developed for CN− sensing. • The probes showed high selectivity and sensitivity towards CN− with a striking colourimetric change. • Thiazolium-based MMD2-Thio exhibited stronger binding efficacy than indolium-based MMD2-Ind. • The CN− sensing mechanism involves deprotonation of -OH moiety, along with nucleophilic addition of CN−. • This chemical reaction turned-off the ICT in the probes and consequently changes the colour.
