• State and trait resilience were examined under repeated psychosocial stress • Multimodal assessment of endocrine, autonomic, and subjective stress markers • Trait resilience predicts lower subjective stress reactivity, but was not associated with biological responses or habituation • State resilience was not significantly affected by psychosocial stress and unrelated to habituation • Discussion of conceptual and methodological challenges in linking resilience to stress adaptation
