The mangrove ecosystem is a complex ecosystem that supports a wide variety of microorganisms, among which fungi represent one of the largest groups. Aspergillus fungi constitute the dominant component, and these mangrove-derived Aspergillus strains can produce a wealth of specialized metabolites with unique chemical structures and diverse biological activities. In this paper, a total of 346 specialized metabolites isolated from mangrove-derived Aspergillus species over the past five years (January 2020-April 2025) are summarized. These compounds are classified into five major categories: polyketides, terpenoids, alkaloids, peptides, and other types. A total of 134 compounds exhibited biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, cytotoxic, antibacterial, and alpha-glucosidase-inhibitory activities, among which 20 compounds displayed multiple biological activities. These specialized metabolites, which possess unique structures and notable bioactivities, serve as a reference for the development and innovation of new pharmaceuticals.
