Abstract

• Regional O3 pollution days in the YRD increased at 3.3 d y−1 during 2014–2023. • The SHP, UPP and TCP dominated regional O3 pollution in the YRD. • Weak winds and subsidence favored O3 accumulation under all three weather types. • The SHP, UPP and TCP corresponded to local, regional and marine transport.
