Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• Radical emulsion copolymerization of vinylidene fluoride (VDF) with vinyl dimethylphosphonate (VDMP), • The copolymerization proceeds efficiently under mild, aqueous conditions, yielding copolymers with high yields (up to 93%) and tunable compositions. • The chemical structure and composition of the copolymers characterized by 1H, 19F, and 31P NMR spectroscopies and MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. • Number-average molar masses were 6600–11600 g·mol−1 with dispersities of 1.54–2.90. • Controlled crystallinity values ranged from 8 to 28% for VDF molar fractions of 45 to 94 mol%, respectively. • Post-polymerization hydrolysis of phosphonate ester side groups led to phosphonic acid-containing PVDF.
